  • Working from same IP on Fiverr with wife

Posted by Billy Johnson on April 6, 2026 at 3:27 pm

Me and the missus are both trying to get into freelancing on Fiverr but we’re running into a snag with the whole multi-account thing. She does graphic design, I’m doing copywriting, completely different services so sharing one account makes no sense for either of us. Problem is we’re both working from home on the same internet connection and I’ve heard Fiverr’s pretty strict about banning people for having multiple accounts from the same IP. Don’t want to set everything up then get booted off before we’ve even started earning. Anyone dealt with this before, is there a way round it that actually works?

Fiverr’s system picks up on that stuff pretty quickly because they’re paranoid about people gaming reviews or dodging bans. Same address, same payment details, same IP, any of that can trigger a flag even if you’re doing totally different work. Some couples try using one account and just splitting the gigs but that gets messy fast when clients want to contact the actual person doing the work. You could try reaching out to Fiverr support directly and explaining the situation before you even start, sometimes they’ll note your accounts as legitimate if you’re upfront about it.

Thing is, support can be hit or miss and you might still get flagged down the line by their automated systems anyway. Loads of freelancers run separate accounts for different niches without issues once they’ve got the setup sorted properly. You can read about how to create multiple Fiverr accounts and manage them securely here https://gologin.com/blog/multiple-fiverr-accounts/ . Goes through the technical side of keeping accounts separate so the platform doesn’t link them together. Means you can both build your own profiles and client bases without constantly worrying about getting banned for something you’re not even doing wrong.
